It’s that time of year again, when the crazy takes over and half the blogging world blogs every single day. Last year I did it so that people would read my blog and have a voice out there somewhere who was saying “Me too.” It was fun and hard and good for me, so I’m doing it again.
Except this year, I’ll be honest, this is all for me. I love writing little love notes and I think this will be a fun way to say thank you to friends, family, my cat, or the frozen pizza right now and let them know just exactly how much I love them.
In case I wasn’t clear, it won’t be 31 days of romance.
It will be 31 days of notes to the people and things I love. Maybe there will even be one to you!
Every day of the 31 days will link back to this page, the original post, so come back here to find all of the ridiculous and sincere love letters of the month.
Of course, this isn’t how I hoped to start. I hoped to have fully decided on a graphic, to have a pre-written and pre-planned post, to be posting it sometime before it got dark outside, but it looks like the rest of my life will be carrying on as usual this October and so, tonight’s love letter is to the frozen pizza with 8 minutes left of cook time in the oven. Let’s see if I can write it before it’s time to eat.
Dearest Processed Delectable Treat,
Thank you for being available at this late hour at the 24 hour Kroger, and on sale no less! I love your thin crusted goodness, your fancy “white California style” but mostly, I love that after a long day I can literally unwrap and eat you in 15 minutes with nary a dirty dish.
You have always been easy to love. Even growing up in New York, I’ve never been too pizza-snobbish for you. And you’ve never been too processed for me. I even love that you don’t need to be baked on a cookie sheet- straight on the oven rack will do.
Keep being you- and don’t apologize. For $4.88, I am considering getting another one of you and eating you tomorrow night. Besides, the cat is having a field day with your box right now, which means he’s not bothering me while I write this. Win-win.
With deepest affection,
Day 1: A love letter to a frozen pizza
